Message from the Directors:

Welcome to the start of the 2023-2024 school year! We are thrilled to finally have students here on campus, and they seem pretty excited too as they show up for a new adventure. As our first cohort of students, they have taken a step of faith by participating in our new CTE pathways. They exude professionalism as they arrive in their chef coats and medical uniforms, ready to train for their futures. Our education students are busy working in local elementary schools, and architecture students are producing floor plans and "as-builts." It has been a dream start to the school year in many aspects. If we can do anything to support your students more, please don't hesitate to reach out and let us know.

As you know, DCSD is committed to ensuring that all children have access to the support they need to fulfill their potential and pursue their chosen endeavor in society, whether it’s postsecondary education, career, or military service. Ensure bright futures for our students and develop a career pipeline for our local industry. As we look to expand on our motto of "Connecting Passion to Pathway," we'd like to share some important information with our community.

The Legacy Campus provides additional Career and Technical Education opportunities to students in a variety of fields including: Advanced Robotics, Architecture, Aviation/Transportation, Building Controls Technology, Culinary and Hospitality, EMT/EMS, Future Educator, Nursing (CNA) and Secure Network Technology. The purchase of the Legacy Campus building was made possible by a Bond initiative passed by voters in 2018. Click here to view a video of the Legacy Campus ribbon cutting event.

How would Legacy Campus benefit from the next Mill/Bond Levy? What would this cost you? A Douglas County taxpayer would expect to pay $20 per year per $100,000 of home value. So, for a million dollar home, the total increase of both measures combined would be $200 per year. For Legacy Campus specifically we will be able to replace the roof, resurface the parking lot and add additional pathways.
