Legacy Campus Attendance & Policies

All students accepted into Legacy Campus make a firm commitment to attend school each day and produce quality work. Attendance is handled by DCSD Legacy Campus staff only. Please do not call the college associated with your student's pathway regarding attendance. 

If a student needs to miss class(es), please follow these procedures:

  • Who to Call: Parents or guardians must call the Legacy Campus attendance line at 303-387-7803 to excuse a student if they miss class(es). You must also call the student’s primary high school, too.
  • When to Call: Parents or guardians call when their student is absent due to illness or personal reasons. Other absences may include school-related events like sports, clubs or field trips. Excused absences require a call within 48 hours.
  • Who is Authorized to Report Absences: Only a parent or guardian may call. Students are not permitted to call, even if they are 18 or older.
  • Classwork: Students are responsible for following their teacher's procedures for requesting and making up all missed classwork and homework.
