Construction Trades

The Construction Trades Pathway equips students with foundational knowledge and skills essential to the construction trades industry, with an emphasis on safety, applied mathematics, and workplace readiness. Instruction covers plan reading, tool use, materials, and construction processes related to interior and exterior finishing, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry, all through a hands-on learning experience that includes opportunities to work alongside industry partners. Students may also earn industry-recognized credentials such as the Home Builders Institute (HBI) Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate Training (PACT) Core Certification, OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification, and additional certifications aligned with industry standards. Year 2 students will have an opportunity to further their construction skills or focus on Construction Management while taking some architectural courses.
