Secure Network Technologies

The Pathway

The Secure Network Technologies Pathway will offer students the opportunity to gain skills, knowledge, and experience in computer networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Students will earn industry certifications in computer repair, computer networking, cloud computing, and network security (year 1). These could include A+, Net+, Security+, and AWS Cloud Practitioner. Classes will engage students in both online/virtual labs as well as working with physical equipment.

Students need to be able to work both independently and in groups and should have basic computer skills and a desire to work with computer equipment. Although it’s not required, we recommend students have a basic understanding of programming and should have already taken at least 1 computer class at their high school.

Classes are taken concurrently (3 at a time) and will require a double-block at Legacy Campus each semester. Students are earning 20 college credits in one year, so attendance in class is critical since it’s fast-paced and lab-based. Students may also add an internship at the Legacy Campus in the SRA (Student Repair Academy) which would run right after class - see details below.

Applications for the 24-25 school year are now closed
If space is available in a specific pathway we will reopen the application after April 1st, for a 2nd round of application submissions.
