The Douglas County School District’s (DCSD) Legacy Campus has redefined the traditional high school experience. Located in Lone Tree, the campus opened its doors to students in 2024. It is a state-of-the-art Career and Technical Education (CTE) center dedicated to preparing students for high-demand careers, postsecondary education and workforce readiness. 

Students not only start building experience in their chosen fields in high school but also begin to create connections with future employers who want bright candidates. Students from 15+ high schools across Douglas County and beyond come to the Legacy Campus to participate in immersive, experience-based CTE courses. Here, they explore what they are passionate about and turn that into a pathway to success after graduation. High school juniors and seniors attend Legacy Campus for specific classes while staying enrolled in their primary high school.  

In addition, the Legacy Campus is not just for students; it is a community hub for the entire Douglas County community, where you can gather for coffee and snacks at the Campus Marketplace or book an event in one of the various flexible spaces for meetings, team-building, and celebrations of all sizes.

Our mission is to cultivate a Career & Technical Education environment where post-secondary and industry partnerships provide relevant learning opportunities for high school students and the Douglas County community in order to ensure a competitive advantage and workforce readiness.

Every day, our students engage in hands-on learning guided by exceptional educators and industry professionals. They earn college credit, pursue industry-recognized credentials, complete internships and work-based learning experiences, and develop the technical and professional skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. At Legacy Campus, education extends far beyond the classroom—it is an immersive experience that prepares students to confidently pursue college, careers, military service, and life.

Legacy Campus is also a place where partnerships flourish. Our relationships with higher education institutions, business leaders, civic organizations, and community partners create authentic learning environments and strengthen the workforce throughout Douglas County and beyond.
